The market share for electric vehicles is very low in India. The adoption rate for EV vehicles is very low. People are using Petrol/Diesel cars and demand is continuously growing which not creates our dependency on fossil fuels but harmful effects on the environment. Our team of budding entrepreneurs saw great potential in the business related to Electric vehicles, so we decided to step into it. Our engineers designed and created a prototype vehicle . Our motive is to launch such an electric vehicle which increases the adoption rate of the EV vehicles in India. Problems pertaining to my department: My department is related to the features present in the vehicle that could increase the sales. The main problem for people adopting less to E vehicles is lack of an e infrastructure , less number of charging points available and high charging time . If their vehicle battery got drained somewhere in the middle of the road what will they do , is their main concern. What if they forgot to charge their battery someday , they need battery replacements or other technical support are some of the problems they are facing . So , we decided to launch such an E vehicle that will solve these problemsBCS Solution Summary
We aimed at increasing the number of charging points of different types , reducing their cost , providing service related to batteries , retrofitting and other technical support through just a single click through the app. We aim to reduce the charging time and a vehicle that itself requires less charging , has a smoother run , large range and high battery life.Solution

According to the market survey ,75% of people don't purchase Electric vehicles due to less charging points and 60% of people due to its high charging time despite its low running cost and huge benefits for the environment.
- So , we have targeted these two main points for our USP.
- We have level 2 and level 3 chargers and solar panel at the top . For level 3 chargers , the charging time is less than one hour but however it is costlier. For level 2 chargers ,the charging time is around 6 hours but they are cheaper.
- By using a level 3 charger , a person a can get the battery 50% charged within 30 minutes.
- As soon as a person , will book a service through our app we will reach there within 30 minutes since EV vehicles are clean Air Vehicles so we will be having HOV lane access and after reaching there 50% of the battery will get charged in 30 minutes. Therefore , a person don't have to wait much , they can get 50% of the battery charged in 1 hour in case of use of level 3 chargers.
- Since we are using solar panels at the top. These help in charging the charger itself , thereby help in reducing the cost . Therefore , we will provide faster charging time at a lower price. Due to similar reasons the price of the level 2 charging service will also be less.
- The battery used in the vehicle will also have a life of around 5 years thus further reducing maintenance cost.
- Since , we have different charger types therefore , we can get multiple vehicles charged at same time having different charging demands. Thus , solving the problem of less charging points. Therefore,
Less service and charging time at a cheaper price and more number of charging points and that too of different types is our USP.
How these features will help in increasing sales:
- These features will help in fostering the sales exponentially because high charging time and less charging points were the main reasons of people not purchasing EV vehicles.
- Because of high number of charging points available people will face less problem if their vehicles run of out battery in the middle of the road. All they have to do is to just open the app and book service , their vehicle will get charged in less than one hour. Earlier, since there were less points available people were not interested in buying EV vehicles because of less number of charging stations present in the market. They were worried of what would happen if their battery got discharged somewhere in the middle . Now, with portable charging points available it will definitely help in increasing the sales.
- More charging time was another problem along with the its high price. with the introduction of the solar panels , this problem has also been reduced .
- Apart from this , the running cost of the EV vehicles is almost one-sixth of the running cost of petrol and diesel currently. And in the long run , the price of the petrol and diesel will fuel up more. People are aware of this . These reasons for not shifting to EV vehicles were mainly the ones above mentioned and our vehicle has solved their problems. Hence , the sales of the EV vehicle will rise high.
- The Management Principles used are:
- Division of work : Since we have increased the number of charging stations and that too of different type. So, many customers can get their vehicles charged simultaneously.
- Discipline: Our service is fast . Everything is planned and is very disciplined.
- Principle of Customer satisfaction: Our aim is the full satisfaction of the customers. We want to solve their problems related to lack of e infrastructure by providing portable services.
Conclusion
We designed such a vehicle that will solve the main problems that are coming in the way of people adopting the E vehicles . We believe that this will bring a revolution in increasing the market share of the EV vehicles in India and in creating a greener , noise and pollution free India.Attached File Details
