Aadhaar card dilemma- IT solutions

In this report we will see that the problems associated with aadhaar card and how IT solutions assist to solve them.

The problems associated we need to deal with are-

1. Plan a strategy so that entire population have the aadhaar card using the IT solutions
2. Increase and resolve the problem of privacy
3. Curb the frauds and fake  ids
4. Increase the ease and usability of aadhaar card

PROBLEM 1

Coming to our first problem we need to showcase some statistics first.

By this data, we come across top 5 least aadhaar card subscribers and we will make a strategy to reach out the population of these states.

We see that Assam have the least no. of aadhaar card subscribers. It is because the issue of the delay in the rollout registration of aadhaar card compared to other states. Hence the solutions we suggest for speedy solutions we suggest for speed registration are- 

FOR URBAN AREAS

• In Assam, there are 413 banks and 4016 post offices. The banks can send an awareness message for aadhaar card enrolment whenever they send the money transaction message. The post office can attach a small note which will be delivered along with the letters.
• Along with it there would be a link or (a pamphlet in case of letters) which will give them information through video and text of what all our requirements are required for the aadhaar card. The video and text is supported in their regional language.
• A track will also be maintained to the no. of viewers region wise so that banks and post offices are pre ready.  This will also help the marketing team will get an idea of weaker areas where more promotion is required.
• The link will also provide the map which shows the location of banks and post offices from the user current location along with the strength of workforce in each bank and post office.

FOR RURAL AREAS

• In areas where technology scope is nil, registering at real time approach is not feasible. But we can the digital storage record devices. The team can go to the targeted area, use those devices which run on batteries. The team must also ensure that they carry extra batteries with them.
• They will assist the village head so that he/she can convey the importance of aadhaar card and its steps for enrolment.
• The team will capture the photo, iris photo, thumb impression and other formalities and give each set a unique identity no. which is store as a unique identity for the set in the computer.
• All these will be stored in the advanced management system where once the whole record is set, the database will be locked and no tampering takes place. This will also ensure lack of redundancy and malfunctioning of data.  Data will be stored in the multiple hardware devices to ensure lack of dependency on one machine.
•   When the officer return back, he/she can cross check the data. Any discrepancy or error are recorded by the software, this will be recorded in another database where data is stored using the temporary unique identity of each set.
• These errors will again be rectified when the aadhaar card delivery takes place for others.
• To ensure the safer delivery, the aadhaar card owner has to put thumb impression on the machine given to the delivery man, which also has the feature to click the photo. While giving delivery, the person needs to click the addressee photo with aadhaar card and his/her thumb impression.
• After returning the machine, it will be kept for record of delivery.
• The above rural model is applicable to all states where technology scope is nil

The above expansion solution can be used for those states that have to achieve the 100% aadhaar card users in the state. They can use our solution of heat map which shows various the no of users based on constituency of the region. To find out such areas, we can register population and pin code versus the aadhaar card users’ data.

Also heat map will be made of each constituency of each state such that every can get a visual appeal to the state for better planning.
