We observed 5 major issues with the current education system: 

Issue 1: Multiple schemes are running parallel between centre and states, different ministries and within ministries.

Issue 2: Failure to arrest high dropout rates among students.

Issue 3: Quality of Education – Low level of learning among the students because of various reasons like teachers quality.

Issue 4: Infrastructure is very weak and even basic amenities like drinking water and toilets are not available in many schools.

Issue 5: Innovative Methodologies for monitoring quality and teaching are needed.

Our major solutions include:

a) Integration of schemes and institutions and bring them under one roof to provide greater flexibility and more efficiency.

b) Evening classes to arrest high drop-out rates. Transition classes for those who dropped earlier and joined again.

c) Teachers should be left for teaching activities only. There should be other staff members for maintenance and supervision activities.

d) Focus from STEM subjects to the holistic development of children. 

e) Easier infrastructure solutions say, WhatsApp to improve communication or activities at the end of chapters to guide teachers with cost-effective practical activities.

f) Innovative methodologies for monitoring quality. Like, grading of schools, a repository of case-studies and innovations, etc.

g) Three-tier system for monitoring management activities.
