BCS Solution SummarySelco India wanted to sell solar panels in an affordable price on the indian famers, farmers were given diffrent modules to pay the amount easily, then they thought of expanding the business but it created more expenditure to the company to which due to which the product were expensive, and the investor of the company pressured the company to cut off the employee, but to maintain the company, loan were taken form the IMF to restructure the company.
Solution
As a consultancy firm i will suggest Selco india to convert istelf from private to public company for the exapansion of it's business:
* they can issue sahre to public and with that money they can expand there buiness
*Product line expansion- they can increase the no. of product and categorise the product according to income level.
*Sale network expansion- By using hub and spoke model we can increase our sale network,
where one retailer provide product to various samall retailer at a deep corner of village.
example- coca cola also used hub and spoke model to expand their business.
