There is a huge issue of waste management in India as Urban India alone produces 42 million tons of municipal solid waste. The Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) is a step taken by Ministry of Urban Development to ensure hygiene, sanitation and proper waste management across India. The key objective of the mission is to develop a waste management system through which waste can be utilized for wealth creation. The state government of Madhya Pradesh is encouraging a public-private partnership scheme for the improvement of urban infrastructure so that the state can better plan for the future and achieve sustained growth. Current waste management practises have become inefficient and financially nonviable in smaller urban local bodies due to excessive cost and a lack of available land. The government is planning to build regional integrated waste management facilities that will serve the nearby urban and suburban areas. 

Established in 1998, Green Wealth Pvt. Ltd. is a Bhopal-based waste management company. The company has a cash reserve of Rs. 60 crores that can be put toward any project, and it can also borrow up to Rs. 150 crores from banks. The company has recently opted to take part in the "Waste To Wealth" scheme launched by the state of M.P. for the city of Bhopal, for which we need to make a comprehensive plan and proposal that takes into account all of the requirements for this project, including marketing, finance, human resources, and information technology.

Green Wealth's online presence, as well as the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of its IT infrastructure, will be managed by the company's IT and business analytics division. Due to high automation involved in our process in sort centres and waste-to-energy plant, we will be requiring engineers with IT and ECE background to help us run the processes smoothly and efficiently. The IT departments will be directly under the company CEO and will look after following aspects-

• Website 
• Android & iOS applications
• Social Media handles (Technical Aspect)
• Hardware support
• ERP-Enterprise Resource Planning
• Networking setup and management
• Backup system & Disaster Recovery System

Website 

The website is being made by the IT department and will feature the company's physical address and contact details. Focus of creating the website would simple and easy to understand UI that will enhance the UX. We will be using our website to give a detailed information on how we operate and how the company benefits the environment, government and all the residents of Bhopal.

Android & iOS application

The IT department will maintain and support the “Green Wallet” application on both android and iOS platforms. They will keep on working on UI enhancements to make the UX as smooth and great as possible.

Social Media handles (Technical Aspect)

The IT team will manage any and all technical concerns regarding the safety and confidentiality of the social media accounts. It will also be responsible for managing the data collected from social media handles working alongside the marketing team to create a wider reach and acquire new audience. Social Media handles will be mainly used to create awareness about waste disposal in general and also how our company is contributing to create a sustainable way of solid waste management.

Hardware support

The IT department will handle the procurement and installation of all new hardware, as well as any upgrades or changes to existing pieces of equipment. The IT team will also handle any necessary hardware repairs.

ERP- Enterprise Resource Planning

We need to subscribe to an ERP module, most likely SAP, in order to synchronise the strategy, which includes things like order reception, stock check, inventory management, financials, sales, HR, etc. The IT team will assist in the standardisation of all other operations.

Networking setup 

As we would be moving into industry 4.0 we would be having a lot of automation through IoT. The IT team will be working to manage these IoT devices and network and also train the new recruits.

Disaster Management

Both natural and man-made disasters pose a significant risk to the company’s operations, which can lead to catastrophic losses for any business. We will implement disaster management..
