Case Understanding
It is an organisation developed by two persons which is primarily an app based delivery firm fulfilling the day to day needs of the customer’s. In the initial year of start-up they used to deliver milk, paneer and curd in three states Delhi, Hyderabad and Bangalore. The firm has been facing several sales issues like absence of the delivery boys on during the morning time without information, not delivering products, delivering wrong products, complaint’s regarding foul smell and bad taste. Refunding to consumers where the work is not started.BCS Solution Summary
Appointing one extra delivery boy for each city and substituting wherever it is necessary in the absence of delivery boy or employ a local women in such non-dense areas for delivery of its products to household. Recruiting appropriate persons to deliver. Giving incentives and rewards to the delivery boys. Through feedback apps we can get the customers opinion and then supplying right products to the consumers and enquiry to the delivery boys regarding that and taking proper action that will reduce the wrong delivery and non-delivery to the consumers. Getting the feedback about the quality of the products, we can able to supply good quality products to them.Solution
- Each department should have a proper co-ordination among them. They should have friendly relationship between the superior and the sub-ordinate.
- The Human resource department needs to work upon proper recruitment, training and development of the delivery partners and the corporate working to make them aware about maintaining excellence relationship with the consumer, to provide them with proper training to avoid deviations.Giving incentives and rewards to the delivery boys. Incentives like bonus, commission, retirement benefits, fringe benefits etc. Non-monetary incentives like career advancement, job enrichment, employee’s recognition, job security, employee participation, employee empowerment etc.
- The marketing department to advertise its product on various platforms by adopting various marketing strategies like vertical integration, multi-branding, extension of the brand, portfolio enhancement. To provide affordable and stylish packing.
- The finance department should look after the prices of the products and manipulate them according to the demand and supply scenario in the market. They can get the revenue through sales and the app installation.
- Only the firm expansion won’t make it the firm also need to look upon the App expansion and innovation as the whole business was app based. Through feedback apps we can get the customer’s opinion and then supplying right products to the consumers and enquiry to the delivery regarding that and taking proper action that will reduce the wrong delivery and non-delivery to the consumers. The IT department should look after these.
- Customer redressal department need to look compensation for the losses occurred to them.

By applying all this mentioned above techniques we can rectify the problems of the company and making it profitable also.
